Giorgi Flute PatentIntroductionSeņor Carlo Giorgi was the inventor of a unique vertical flute, which was marketed under his name. He patented it widely, including in the US. Somewhere I came across a copy of the US patent document and felt it should be readily available to those interested in Giorgi and his flute. Originals can be found in the Bate Collection in the UK and The Dayton C Miller Collection in Washington DC.
I hope to be able to add some analysis of the Giorgi flute at some future time (when I can get my hands on one for long enough!). For further information, including images of an original Giorgi flute, check out Rick Wilson's excellent introduction at http://www.oldflutes.com/articles/giorgi.htm |
